Brown Cow Organics
Brown Cow Organics beef could be the most talked in the UK; Winners of numerous national awards over nine years and this year's 'Best Meat Producer runner up' in the Taste of Somerset Awards.
Their beef is raved about by many respected household name chefs; Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall, Jamie Oliver and Rick Stein, who when asked if he could have anything for Christmas what would it be answered "A piece of Sirloin of beef from Brown Cow Organics."
Observer Food Monthly magazine said "Compared on a blind tasting with 14 other national companies, Brown Cow Organics was the only product to be awarded five stars! Their sirloin steak has astonishingly good marbling, is beautifully tender-almost buttery and generously cut; a steak to eat as rare as you dare."
Each individual order is cut on the day of dispatch/collection and is also available from local markets; see the new website for details. www.browncow organics.co.uk

A Rick Stein Hero - Brown Cow Voted Tastiest Beef
11 out of 15 butchers at Smithfield market voted our beef the tastiest when it was featured on Rick Stein's Food Heroes programme.
Sunday Telegraph - Jamie Oliver's article in the Stella Magazine
An extract of what Jamie Oliver had to say in his new monthly column; Brown Cow Organic's approach to food starts with the soil, which was a real shock to me. The family were absolutely obsessed - even before you get to the breed of the cow,or talk about hanging the meat so that its tasty and tender - about the fact that the proper welfare of animals starts by creating the most fertile and balanced soil. Brown Cow put the continually improving flavour of their meat, and it is incredible, down to this work.
2004 - Farm and animals were featured on Rick Steins BBC 2 "Food Heroes"
Excellent coverage of our unique beef following Rick and his friendly team of producers spending the morning and lunch with us back in the Autumn.
