16th January 2018 - Escape to the Country
On 16th January we are featured in an episode of Escape to the Country. Nicki Chapman and the team came down in September last year and filmed our lovely Guernseys; Nicki also tried our delicious vegetable yoghurts and had a go at creating a flavour.

Brown Cow Woolco delivery packaging featured on BBC Radio 2
Brown Cow Organics chose and have used Woolcool® for their chilled produce deliveries for some time and now this award-winning insulated packaging was featured on Simon Mayos' BBC2 Radio Show at 6.30pm on 10th December 2010.
Woolcool® is specially designed to provide a sustainable, biodegradable, recycled and recyclable alternative to polystyrene and polyethylene packaging. Woolcool® is made from biodegradable British sheep's wool which is naturally washed, scoured, needle-felted and sealed within recyclable food-grade wrapping to provide an insulation lining in a range of recycled and recyclable cardboard delivery boxes. this insulated packaging has been rigorously tested and proven to keep fresh and perishable products chilled below 5°c for a minimum of 24 hours. Woolcool is manufactured in the UK using British Sheep's wool to support British sheep farmers and the rural economy.
May 2011 Winners - Award for Outstanding Contribution to Food in Somerset
We have just won the Taste of Somerset Harmsworth Award for Outstanding Contribution to Food in Somerset - An award that recognises an individual or company that has put Somerset on the map with inspiration, energy, imagination and use of Somerset ingredients.
Judith & Clive Freane attended the finalists awards dinner on Friday 8th April and were delighted to be announched as the winners in this, the highest accolade category of the Taste of Somerset Awards.
After being presented with the award Judith said "I am really shocked, delighted and honoured that Brown Cow Organics has been recognised by its industry peers and would like to thank all our our customers and peers that voted for us."

Judith was a guest at a 'Supper Club' , a new series hosted by Ollie Smith, we can't tell you anymore about the when, where & who yet, but watch this space!
Olly is currently on the road filming all over the UK for his new television series Secret Supper Club which will be shown on Channel 4 from January 2011.
The show takes Olly on a mission to create a series of one-off suppers in some rather surprising locations, where the stunning surroundings inspire the food and the way it is cooked. Coupled with the fascinating people behind the local produce and some unwitting guests, each week Olly aims to create a unique and unforgettable event.
He is presenter of Iron Chef UK for Channel 4 and also appears regularly on BBC1s Saturday Kitchen and internationally on Taste and Great Food Live. Hes now big in Chile where the 13-part documentary series he presents, Cheers from Chile, was released in July.
Olly hosts a multitude of live events including MasterChef Live for the BBC, BBC Good Food Show, Love Cooking, Tapas Fantasticas and previously Taste of London and the F-Word Live for Channel 4. He works alongside top-class chefs and can hold his own spinning sugar baskets with James Martin live on stage.
Regularly asked to appear as a commentator on television and radio, he has appeared on BBC Breakfast, Sky News, The Wright Stuff and on BBC Radio 2, Radio 4 and LBC.
Olly writes a weekly wine column for The Mail on Sundays Live Magazine reaching 5.3 million readers each week. He is also a columnist for Sainsburys Magazine reaching 3.9 million readers every month.
Ollys new book Eat &Drink was published by Headline in May 2010. Illustrated by his own fair hand, it is a treasure trove of recipes, wine tips and tales of adventure from his travels across the high seas of flavour.
Olly launched his first wine bar and eatery The Glass House on board the luxury cruise liner Azura with P&O Cruises in April 2010.
In 2009, for his work in food and wine Olly won the prestigious International Wine & Spirits Communicator of the Year award, an honour he described as being like surfing all the way to the shores of Happyland. He has also been awarded Drinks Business Young Achiever of the Year Award 2009 Rock on!
Brown Cow Organics Joins Positive TV 'Kitchen Table Debate'
On Sunday the 12th of September, PositiveTV headed down to Bristol to stage The Great Kitchen Table Debate
at the Soil Associations Organic Food Fair in Bristol. Brown Cow Organics owner Judith Freane joined the panel of debating experts.Click here for a preview
PTV asked a panel of experts how to feed the worlds burgeoning population sustainably. A facilitator from The De Bono Foundation joined us to guide the Debate using the "Six Thinking Hats Technique" The idea was to stimulate conversation and see if we could find some ANSWERS!
The full series will be released over the next few weeks, we invite you to watch as the debate unfolds!

Brown Cow Organics for the fourth consecutive year won the Organic Food Awards 2004. Our delicious beef won yet again in the fresh beef catagory. The award was presented at a delicious lunch ceremony cooked by Barney Haughton of Quartier Vert, Bristol. Barney made a passionate speech not only of the quality of our beef but the presentation of it too! You could here a pin drop in the hall as he addressed over 250 people as to the magnificence of our beef!

2002 - Radio 4
Sheila Dillon, the presenter of this highly renowned radio food programme, was told by David Lidgate (whose butcher's shop we supply in London) about the exceptional flavour and quality of the beef that we produce at Perridge Farm.She was so intrigued, that she came to our farm with David, for a day, to see how such a superior product is achieved.Comments from that day were that the animals look so good, the quality chain is unbroken from birth to butchering and Sheila said:"That was the most stunningly delicious piece of beef that I have ever tasted."
2002 - Organic Food Awards
